Chess in 30 Days

One short session a day takes you from knowing how the pieces move to playing complete games, spotting tactics, and finishing them with checkmate. Pick a square, work through the blocks, tick them off.

Before every move

  1. What did their last move threaten?
  2. After my move, can anything of mine be taken for free?

Two questions, every move, every game. This habit alone wins most beginner games.

Game days

Play one 10+0 game: ten minutes each, no increment, so the game ends inside 20 minutes. Rated or casual, either is fine. Don't review on the same day. You'll see it more clearly tomorrow.

How to review in 6 minutes

  1. Open the game on Lichess and request computer analysis.
  2. Find the first move marked as a mistake or blunder.
  3. Ask which of the two questions would have caught it.
  4. Write that move and its cause in one line.

If a session runs long, stop at 20 minutes and finish it tomorrow. Showing up daily matters more than finishing every block. Your ticks are saved in this browser only.
